Projects / Agno AI Framework - Hello World PoC
A beginner-friendly Hello World for the Agno AI framework: one Agno agent with an OpenAI chat model, in a Poetry-managed Python environment with setup scripts for Windows, macOS and Linux.
agno-hello-world-pocAGNO_PROMPT in .env is now treated as not set, so the default prompt is used instead of sending an empty prompt to the agent.poetry run pytest).Initial release.
Every release includes a diagnostics script. Run it in the extracted project folder:
python scripts/diagnose.py
For a Poetry project, run poetry run python scripts/diagnose.py so it checks the project's own environment.
It prints PASS or FAIL for the Python version, the .env file, the dependencies and the required tools, and
writes qubot-diagnostics.json. That file contains versions and results only, never the values of your settings.
Which version do you have? Open qubot.json in the project folder.
To check your download, compare its SHA256 with the value above:
Get-FileHash .\agno-hello-world-poc-v1.0.1.zip -Algorithm SHA256 on Windows, or
shasum -a 256 agno-hello-world-poc-v1.0.1.zip on macOS and Linux.
With AGNO_PROMPT= left empty in .env, the agent is called with an empty prompt instead of the default one and prints an unhelpful or empty answer.
What to do: Download version 1.0.1 or later, which treats an empty or whitespace-only AGNO_PROMPT as not set. On 1.0.0, remove the AGNO_PROMPT line from .env or give it a real prompt.
If the steps above do not solve it, report an issue and attach
qubot-diagnostics.json. You will get an issue ID, which you can
look up at any time.
